• Background rendering: EDIUS X will never ask you to interrupt your editing for a process to finish. This makes your workflow seamless, creative, and virtually unstoppable.
• Background Export: The new background rendering engine is also great for exporting files. You'll never have to stop working while exporting.
• GV Job Monitor: EDIUS X keeps you informed about all activities performed and allows you to prioritize jobs as needed.
• Support for the VST Plug-In: EDIUS X extends support for VST plug-ins. This includes support for latency plug-ins along with powerful WaveShell integration.
• Motion Tracker with Chase Mode: EDIUS X allows you to easily attach a tag, animation, or video clip to your tracked object.
• Motion Tracker with Anchor Mode: Have your image automatically reframe with reference to the tracked object. This is great for aspect ratio conversions and virtual multi-camera shots.
• H.265 Export: EDIUS X accelerates export render time by leveraging NVIDIA GPU support. This is also available with the new Background Rendering options.
• GUI Color: EDIUS X comes with a refined GUI in a slightly darker color. This makes editing even more comfortable with a fresh new look.
• Draft Preview: With EDIUS X, EDIUS X Pro now also includes Draft Preview mode that allows real-time playback of as many tracks as you want.
• 8K support: EDIUS X Workgroup allows project setup and also file export in up to 8K.
• Optimized performance: EDIUS X is everything in terms of performance and future-proof design. EDIUS X requires Windows 10 and makes optimal use of advanced technology. This includes hardware acceleration provided by Intel QuickSync, as well as extensive GPU support. EDIUS X comes with three new modules for optimizing audio, title creation, and video effects. All modules are specially customized to utilize the new design benefits of EDIUS X.

• Audio Optimization: EDIUS X comes with Acon Digital's exclusive EDIUS Editions: Compress EE, DeNoise EE, DeVerberate EE, and Limit EE. These powerful and easy-to-apply audio filters work like a Swiss Army knife when an editor needs to work on correcting and optimizing audio and VA tracks.
• Professional titles: EDIUS X includes the NewBlue Titler Pro 7 in a special customized version of EDIUS X that includes an extended template pack. This ensures maximum stability and performance. Titler Pro 7 offers new handling and design features for professional titling, motion graphics, rolling titles, and lower thirds.
• Seamless video effects and transitions: EDIUS X includes the proDAD Vitascene V4 EDIUS Edition that includes more than 100 seamless transitions. All presets can be customized and tailored to the user's individual sequences. Perfect transitions also work great for animating titles and graphics. In addition, proDAD Vitascene V4 EDIUS Edition includes more than 250 fantastic Vitascene 3 LE filters and transitions.

With the upcoming releases of EDIUS 10.x, Grass Valley will continuously update and improve EDIUS X with new features and workflow options with each free update over the two- to three-year software lifecycle. As EDIUS X is a milestone and the first release of the new generation of Grass Valley NLE, users can expect not only new features, but also expanded and all-new workflow options. The planned free updates will include:

• Improved workflow options using the cloud
• Intelligent metadata handling for streamlined media management
• Automatic diagnosis and optimization of the volume of audio and video clips
• Enhanced SDK and Rest-API for third-party developers enabling seamless integration

The enhanced SDK will make EDIUS 10.x a perfect partner to complement solutions that enable tight and deep integration. This will also make it possible to include cloud services by leveraging machine learning skills. Third-party solutions will also be able to communicate with EDIUS X via the new Rest-API enabling bespoke applications and further expanding the possibilities. The learning skills of cloud-based machines could include future tasks such as audio transcriptions or offering object recognition services combined with automated metadata tagging and exchange with EDIUS, Mync and other compatible MAM systems through the new EDIUS X Hub.
