AVMatrix SD2080 | 1×4 Distributor and SDI/HDMI Converter

The AVMatrix SD2080 is a high-end infrastructure device that combines two critical tools in a single unit: a 1x4 signal distributor and a cross-converter. Its primary function is to receive a video signal (either SDI or HDMI) and replicate it identically and synchronously across its 4 SDI outputs, as well as an additional HDMI output. It is the key component for stadiums, control centres or live events where a single source must feed a matrix of monitors, recorders and encoders without the slightest degradation.

Cross-conversion and professional upscaling

Unlike passive splitters, the SD2080 features a powerful processing engine that enables bidirectional conversions. You can input an HDMI signal and convert it into 4 SDI signals, or vice versa, whilst applying resolution scaling and frame rate adjustment to ensure that all outputs are compatible with your project’s standard. Thanks to its reclocking and equalisation technology, this unit regenerates the SDI signal, allowing for long cable runs without transmission errors.
